99 aastat ja 1 päev tagasi luges Hugo Kuusner Pärnu Endla teatri rõdul ette Isesisvusmanifesti. See polnud enam lihtsalt maha surutud unistus, vaid midagi tõelist.
Today is the Independence Day of Estonia. I'm so proud to be Estonian and celebrate our freedom. Hugo Kuusner read the Manifest of Independence on the balcony of the Pärnu Endla theatre 99 years and 1 day ago. It wasn't a distant dream any more, it was something real. People had been fighting for it for years and years - but only with words, culture and democracy, not war and neither weapons. 101 years ago, the conference for celebrating the 100th anniversary of losing servitude took place. Jüri Vilms wished that some day, when Estonia would be celebrating our 100th year of independence, a similar conference would take place in the "Estonia" theatre. He was the first to say the word "autonomy". Happy Independance Day, Estonia!
