Hi! I am so so so exited for the new MCAL! :) This time, I was asked to design an animal for the Estonian craft forum Isetegija. At first, I had various ideas, but in the end, this design seemed to be perfect. My testers have been amazing. Now, it is time for the introduction! Mystery CAL „Rosie“ This autumn, the 2nd Amigurumi MCAL takes place. And it is available in both English and Estonian! Everyone can choose the language they like! :) Dates Introduction: 25th Aug 1st clue: 1st Sept 2nd clue: 8th Sept 3rd clue: 15th Sept 4th clue: 22nd Sept The name of the project is "Amigurumi MCAL Rosie". The tags are #salaheegeldamineroosi and "mcalrosie". Introduction: This critter is adventurous and fun. She may sit on the shelf or the drawer, but you might also take her with you for good luck. Yarn: Every yarn is suitable. I used DROPS Paris for the main part (1 skein, 50 g) (yarn A), for the last clues DROPS Cotton Light (1 skein, 50 g) (yarn B) and a bit of Paris in another color (yarn C). It took 1 skein of the first two yarns and less than half of the skein for the last one. I suggest you to choose shiny colors or contrasting pastels. NB: Cotton Light is a bit thinner than Paris. I recommend to use a thinner yarn for the last clue. Crochet hook: For amigurumi, I generally use a hook at least 1 size smaller than suggested on the label. But, as the hook suggested on my yarn’s label was very big, I used a hook 2.5 times smaller. Height: With the yarns mentioned above the height was approximately 17 cm. Neccessary skills: basic amigurumi techniques, increasing, decreasing. The last clue also consists harder stitches, however, they are explained. The skill level is intermediate. NB: The pattern uses US terminology and the numbers like this (9) at the ends of the rows are stitch counts. Eyes: I used safety eyes – 12 mm. All the details are stuffed except the 2 last clues. In addition: In the 3rd clue, there are 2 tutorials for clothing items which you can adapt and combine. Optional materials: Wool roving and pipe cleaners. DO NOT START SEWING UNTIL THE LAST CLUE!
